Thank you for visiting my 2010 Iowa Senate Re-election Campaign website. I appreciate your interest in my campaign and your desire to become involved in it.
I take great pride in many of the things we were able to accomplish over the past three years in the areas of education, economic growth and development, and fiscal management…the three “legs of the stool” which I believe serve as the foundation for all other areas and services throughout Iowa. At the same time, I also recognize that we have more to do.
After this term in office, I am more convinced than ever that we, as a State, can do better! There is no doubt that we face challenges as a State. There are individuals and families…including many of our friends and neighbors…who are still struggling to recover from the devastating floods of 2008. There are many Iowans trying to find a way to survive this national economic downturn and are struggling just to make ends meet. Yet, based on my background as a successful business person, I also know that if we develop a plan for success and work together to implement that plan, we can turn things around! I will continue to work each and every day to make sure the people still impacted by the 2008 floods get the support that they need and deserve. I will do what ever I can to make sure our educational systems remain strong and that companies, large and small, can retain and create more good paying jobs throughout Iowa. But, I believe the most important thing I can do is continue to fight to create good paying jobs here in Senate District 9 by putting people and the overall progress of Iowa ahead of any political agendas. I firmly believe that by working together…and forging a true partnership of cooperation, we can realize a more secure future for our families.
